Some of the things we anticipate are vacations, summer break, packages, events, etc.
As the season of Lent comes to an end, we can anticipate the Resurrection of Jesus.
I’ve recently realized how broken our world is. I mean, I knew things weren’t perfect, but as I’ve been exposed to more of people’s stories, I’m reminded life is hard.
It’s hard to be broken. We all wait, anticipate and hope that something or someone will heal us…healing from grief, heartache and disappointment, injury, regret, and more. We need healing from this brokenness, and lucky for us, we won’t have to wait much longer.
About 2,000 years ago Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived his life without sin in a broken world. On Good Friday, He was crucified. He died to pay the ransom for our sins. As a Christian, I believe the wait will soon be over. When Jesus rose from the dead, He overcame sin to heal our brokenness. In that moment, He bridged the gap that kept us from a perfect and holy union with the God of the universe. On Sunday, we celebrate the anticipation subsiding and the wait coming to an end.
